Why Seek Professional Christian Mediation Services?

Picture
Families, Christians, Elders, and churches seek mediation when they are facing challenging conflicts and disputes that they have been unable to resolve independently. They may also want to avoid the court system and honor Biblical teaching about avoiding bringing their disputes before unbelievers. (I Cor. 6:1-6)

  • Professional Mediation offers strict confidentiality
  • Seeks mutually satisfactory outcomes for all parties
  • Is a reconciliatory rather than an adversarial process
  • Honors Biblical teaching about disputes
  • Costs less than a lawsuit
  • Takes less time than a lawsuit
  • Addresses unreasonable expectations
  • Allows parties to consider more creative solutions to establish agreements they can uphold

Professional Mediators are trained in remaining neutral and have experience working through broken down communication, anger, and resentment to find mutually agreeable resolutions to difficult problems.

Elder Care Disputes

Picture
When adult children disagree about how their parents will be cared for and who will be responsible for care and needs, mediation can result in agreement. Often relational pain dating back to childhood impacts how disputing siblings address their conflicts in the present. Mediation is especially helpful in identifying and addressing these barriers to resolution.

Child Disputes

In families where death, divorce, chronic illness, or incarceration has changed the options for the care of children and details are in dispute regarding roles, responsibilities, and where and how they will spend their time, mediation offers a non-adversarial way to chart a path forward.

Church Disputes

When churches or elders are at risk of being sued by members or community members, when deadlocked disputes arise among the elders, or when disputing members are creating factions, mediation offers the potential to resolve the underlying problems and reconcile differences to reach an acceptable solution.
